News from Earth and Fire -- December 30, 2005 Good-Bye Vienna! As some of you already know, my lease is up at this location on March 1, 2006, and right now the only thing I know for sure is that Earth and Fire won't be at 144 Church Street NW in Vienna on March 2. (The biggest problem with looking for a new location is that you can't really look until you are ready to sign a new lease. And I didn't have a lot of time to get out of the gallery in December, as you might be able to imagine). Since I estimate it will take me about two weeks to get cleared out of here, normal business hours at the gallery will pretty much end about February 15. Wherever I go, I certainly want to take you all along, so be sure you either sign up to receive the email newsletter or that you check the website in the weeks to come for information about where I'm going to land. In the meantime, I'm having my first ever Inventory Reduction Sale to aid in the physical move process. If you live in the area, please stop by and pick up some great bargains. Yes, the discounts will begin lower and go higher as it gets closer to the move on some of the items. However, keep in mind that most of the things in the gallery are unique and if you miss it, you miss it. So don't wait too long if there's something you want! This is NOT a total liquidation sale.. I am NOT going out of business. But there will be some great bargains on some of the things that have gotten too comfortable around here. (Like when you have to tell your kids they have to move out of the basement and start supporting themselves!) I can't really figure out a way to do this elegantly for those of you who don't live in the area. Let's try it this way: If there's a pot you've been eyeing, send me an email or give me a call and I'll give you the current discount. Since I'm planning to find a smaller location, I will also have some of my display furniture for sale: The antique tables and bookshelves many of you have admired and some of the wicker stands that I used in the early days. Please help me with move! Back to the Newsletter Archive list Contact us to join the mailing list or inquire about a specific piece.
