Sometimes, bad things happen

I've shown you this teapot before:

"Before"

A couple of weeks ago I came home one day after the cleaning folks had been there. I noticed that another pot that sits on the shame shelf as this one was out of place. I thought that odd and wondered why the cleaning people would have moved it, but I replaced it and went on with my business.

The next morning, my cat was having a good time playing hockey with something on the floor. I took a look at it and decided it was a spinach noodle. I thought that was odd, because I know I don't normally keep spinach noodles in the house. I picked it up, looked at it more closely and then got a sinking feeling as I looked back up to where the teapot was.

"After"

Isn't that just sad?

I almost wish it would have broken completely. I'm having a really hard time letting go of it.

What's next?

As I continue planning the year at the gallery, I'm asking for your suggestions as far as artists you'd like to see me approach for the gallery, whether to feature for a First Friday, or just to have in the gallery on an on-going basis.

Please take a moment and think about other artists whose work you search out and then drop me a quick email and let me know.

Seems like a more prudent way to go about it than for me to always be guessing.

Have a good week.
