News from Earth and Fire -- June 15, 2007 Tough Love Time In looking around the gallery, I notice a lot of old friends -- pots that have quietly taken up residence and refuse to get themselves out into the world with their true owners. Yes, like grown children playing video games in the basement when they should be out looking for a job, these pots are sucking up the resources of the gallery and not pulling their weight. They've flown under the radar for a long time and I have allowed it. It's time to draw a line in the sand and apply a little Tough Love. In some cases the images on the website were taken eons ago -- back before I knew as much as I do now (:::cough, cough:::) and they were awful (the images, not the pots). So I've redone the images on all these pots. I'm still not 100% happy with all the images, but I could go on tweaking forever. A few of the pots have never been on the website, and I'm going to be adding more to the list in the days to come, so check back frequently to see what's been added to the sale. I'm giving these pots 30 days to move out. The starting sale price on all of the pots in the sale is 15% off. On Tuesday, the discount increases by 5%, as it will each Tuesday for the next 30 days. Shipping will be a flat $10 on all sales (so make it count!). There is also a 10% discount on all NON-clay inventory on the website, so be sure to look around over in the Other Media section of the Artists page. Do some early Christmas shopping. Think about upcoming weddings. Or just plain treat yourself. Just don't wait too long to make your move or someone else might snap up a pot that truly belongs to YOU! New Work!
