Over the last two weeks, I've been pressed into Grandma Service quite a bit. A week ago Monday, my daughter went into labor and gave birth to twins: Nathan Donald Ward

![]() ... and life got a little crazy around here. The first weeks in February, I had been racing to finish clearing out the gallery before the lease ended at the end of February. I'm ever so grateful that just this once, I did not procrastinate and was actually a week early getting out of there. I can't imagine what last week would have been like (taking care of Jackson, going back and forth to the hospital, receiving/photographing pots for the new show, AND trying to clear out the gallery) if I had not. I had most of the pots in already, but I was waiting for the ACC Show in Baltimore last weekend, so I could go pick up pots from Sam Taylor. I had planned to go up on Sunday -- the last day of the retail show -- and bring pots home. This year, there were warnings of a winter storm coming on Sunday, and rather than get snowed out, I decided to take a chance and go up on Saturday -- just to make sure I made it up. As it turned out, that was a most fortunate decision! Not because I wasn't able to go back on Sunday, but because I was able to bring back some pots from three potters that I wasn't counting on, including one brand new potter to to the gallery, Aaron Sober. I'm so very excited about this new format for the gallery. I'm sure as we go along, there will be some bumps here and there as I learn how to get things flowing, but my fantasy of how this will all work is this: At the beginning of the month, I will offer an entirely new selection of pots online. Some potters may send pots almost every month, and some may send pots only a couple times a year. The pots will come and go very quickly -- there will no longer be a standing inventory of pots. Some months I may be able to get more pots than others. Some months I may have a great many pots from just one or two potters. We'll just see how it plays out. And so... here we go with the first show -- that I have named: March Forth
