News from Earth and Fire -- October 20, 2005 I tell ya, it's like herding cats. A box or two in on Tuesday. Two on Wednesday. Another one today. The last one in tomorrow. Wouldn't that have been nice? No doubt by voicing my fantasy in last week's newsletter, I jinxed it. The UPS guy came in this morning with two large boxes and I thought that was at least a start, but alas, they are from Peter Karner. Not that I'm not glad to get the pots from Peter, but, well... I'm left tapping my foot and checking my watch. I'll try to get Peter's pots online within the next day or two, but the show pots (when they come in) have got to take priority. No doubt next week will be intense. In the meantime, I'm making some organizational improvements to the website that I'd like your input on. I've added some pages to categorize the pots for you so if you are a collector of teapots, for example, you won't have to look through all of the artists' pages to find the teapots. This has been something I've had in the back of my mind for quite a while, but I was afraid it was going to be a huge undertaking. What I found once I got started is that it goes very quickly indeed. What I'd like your help with is in letting me know what categories you would like to see. I've started with teapots, pitchers, and yunomi and other cups. As I get time in the next few days (until the deluge comes from the potters in the Chain Reaction show), I'll do mugs, serving bowls, platters, oil bottles, vases. What else would you like to see categorized? Drop me an email and let me know. Artist pages updated this week: Jeffrey Kleckner Have a good week.
