Six degrees of separation

Whew.

All the pots are now present and accounted for. We had two casualties in shipping, which really isn't bad, considering over 120 pots came in from six places in maybe 15 different boxes carried by three different shippers.

The biggest job -- photographing all the pots and getting the images online -- is now done and I can sit back for a bit and reflect on how we got from Sam Taylor to Elizabeth Robinson.

Certainly, it took several steps.

Interestingly enough, each of the potters sent at least one vase, so when I display the pots for the show, I'm going to have one area where I display those vases, with a ribbon leading from Sam's vase:

Oval vase (ST 04)

7 1/2" tall X 6" wide X 1 1/2" deep
$150

...to Hayne's vase:

Large vase (HB 07

14" tall X 11 1/2" wide X 5 1/2" deep
$400

...to Louise's vase:

Vases (LH 15 and LH 18)

Left: 15" tall X 5" in diameter (at widest) X 4 1/2" in diameter (at opening) - LH 15 - $200
Right: 7 1/2" tall X 4 1/2" in diameter - LH 18 - $75

... to Ellen's vase:

Basket (EH 19)

13" tall X 11" wide X 7" deep
$90

(OK.. basket.. work with me here.. work with me..)

... to Matt's vase:

Vase (MH 21)

5 1/2" tall X 4" square
$120

... and finally ending up with Elizabeth's vase:

Vase (ER 11 and ER 12)

Left - ER 11: 7 1/2" tall X 2 1/2" in diameter - $42
Right - ER 12: 7" tall X 2 1/2" in diameter - $42

Interesting progression, isn't it?

You can preview the rest of the show here

Hope to see you on Saturday from 5:00 to 9:00 pm.

If you can't make it in person, I'm only a phone call away. If you mention the newsletter when you call, there will be free shipping with a total sale of $200 or more.

After you've seen the online show, I hope you can appreciate that I haven't gotten around to updating Peter Karner's page yet with the pots that he sent last week, nor had a chance to work on the category listings any more.

I also got new pots in from Barb Campbell, so those are next in line.

Finally, I'd like to thank Rex Looney for all his help and advice in the last couple of months regarding my low-budget photography studio. I think I've come quite a ways since those first attempts:

(Shudder) Talk about six degrees of separation.....

Have a good week.
